Fixtures and Fittings

Freehold

Gearing

Gross Yield

MEES

Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard - the minimum EPC rating (E) required for rented properties.

Mezzanine Finance

A loan that sits between senior debt and equity, often used in property development.

Negative Equity

When the value of a property is less than the outstanding mortgage balance.

Net Yield
